Waiting List for CHEM 1100, PHYS 1800, PHYS 1801, ENG 1101, ENG 1102, and ESSE 1012

We’ve requested seats be unrestricted in the following courses. This means they will no longer be strictly reserved for brand new incoming Engineering students. We have requested that seats be made available to any Lassonde BEng student and any Lassonde BSc student.

What you should do:

Starting today and continuing until the applicable course add deadline, you may attempt to enrol in these courses. If a course or section is currently full or reserved, please continue checking enrolment regularly, as seats may become available.

For PHYS and CHEM Lab 99 sections, these remain strictly reserved for students who have already completed the laboratory component. If you have previously completed the required lab, you may contact the PHYS or CHEM Department directly to request permission to enrol in Lab 99. The department will verify your previous lab completion and, if space is available, may grant permission to enrol.

Fall courses:

The deadline to add a Fall term course is September 22.

If a course is currently full or reserved, continue trying to enrol regularly until the add deadline. You may also attend the class while you are attempting to enrol and let the instructor know that you are hoping to join the course.

Winter courses:

The deadline to add a Winter term course is January 14.

The same approach applies: if a course is currently full or reserved, continue trying to enrol regularly until the add deadline. You may also attend the class while you are attempting to enrol and let the instructor know that you are hoping to join the course.

Please note:

Lassonde Academic Advising cannot add students to courses, change course or section capacities, or override full sections, labs, or tutorials. If a course remains full, you will need to continue attempting to enrol until the applicable add deadline.

If you are still unable to enrol after the add deadline, the department offering the course, rather than Academic Advising, has discretion to consider requests for late enrolment.
